Peugeot shows off new coupe concept
Peugeot has lifted the conceptual lid on its latest sexy little number - the 308 RC Z.
A 2+2 coupé, the stylish design at the front is taken directly from the standard 308 but has been given a sharper and sportier lower panel incorporating the single air intake, chrome front grille and integral front fog lights. The curved shape of the roof panel and rear window assists the airflow over the rear, creating enough rear down force to eliminate the need for a rear spoiler, which just wouldn’t look right on this comely creation.
Inside, the entire fascia panel is trimmed in leather, and there’s a liberal helping of chrome, aluminium and black lacquer. Bucket-type front seats point to some sporty aspirations. At the rear there are two occasional folding leather seat, which Peugeot says create a modular cabin space that will help owners shift larger and more awkward loads.
Under the bonnet is a 1.6 THP turbo-charged petrol engine with a maximum of 218bhp, and there’s a six-speed manual gearbox as standard.
