New Palm Treo smartphone photos leaked

"Gandolf" comes out of hiding

There have been rumours of some new Palm Treos coming soon to update the range and leaked photographs, apparently showing these new models, have been appearing on the internet over the last day or so.

Two phones appear to be in the pipeline, both similar in design, but one model apparently runs a Palm OS and one Windows Mobile Standard.

The Palm OS version (codename Gandolf) is reported to be heading to the Sprint network in the US for $200 and is rumoured to have Evolution-Data Optimized Rev A (broadband-fast connectivity), a camera, Bluetooth and a Micro SD expansion slot.

With that low price it's suggested that this model will be aimed at the yoof market.

The device running Windows sports a Vodafone logo which suggests it will be coming to Europe, both smartphones are expected to have an offical debut late this year.
