Digital music christmas spells success for Creative and Apple

Both Creative and Apple have announced huge sales of its portable music players in the run up to Christmas. According to figures from both company's we as a public bought over 6.5million iPod's, iPod Mini's and Zen Micros.

While the majority of that figure (4.5million) was Apple products it shows that Creative are making some ground as a worthy challenger.

Creative is hoping to keep up the momentum with a range of new Zen Micro Products launched at CES earlier this month, however the company has yet to confirm whether or not the
N200 and V200, the iPod shuffle's nearest competition from Creative will be dropping in price.
