Revo goes PICO with three new radios
Revo Technologies Ltd, the Scottish digital radio designer best known for its award-winning Revo In-Car DAB adaptor, has today launched three new products.
The three new radios that now form their "PICO" range, cover all current forms of radio broadcast as there's a DAB model, with FM tuner and a model that works with the Wi-Fi internet radio format, allowing Revo to dub the PICO range "go anywhere" products.
The basic model, the Revo PICO, is a portable DAB with a splash-proof design and integral rechargeable battery, meaning it can easily be used both outdoors and in. It doubles as a portable loudspeaker for your MP3 player as it has an "M-port" and supplied connection cable for easy hook up.
As the name would suggest, PICO+ is an advanced version of the standard PICO model, giving you the ability to pause, rewind and record (for up to 30 minutes courtesy of the built-in SD card slot) live radio. In addition you can drag-and-drop MP3 music files to the same SD card. The PICO+ also includes an infra-red remote control and in-car power cord.
The PICO and PICO+ come in black, white and titanium.
The PICO Wi-Fi model (available in "tungsten", a rather striking bluey-grey colour) is capable of accessing internet radio stations from all over the world (a tally of which currently stands at over 5000) through your Wi-Fi connection, which also gives you the ability to wirelessly stream music files from you PC or Mac.
All three models boast a 6 watt mono speaker with a 2-inch neodymium driver.
PICO and PICO+ models are on sale now for £99.95 and £129.95 respectively. The PICO Wi-Fi hits stores mid-July and will cost £149.95.
