Joost has finally announced that it is now commercially available for people to access and begin using.
The brand new internet television service has undergone testing for months, from an exclusive number of people from across the globe. Anyone who has been a Joost beta tester can now invite an unlimited number of people to join the service. The new version of Joost is available today to be downloaded.
The new service works much like a TV channel, Joost combines the best of TV and the best of the internet. Viewers should get the choice, control and flexibility of Web 2.0. Joost is the first online, global TV distribution platform, that host’s advertisers, content owners and audiences together in one interactive, community-driven environment.
The service is currently free. As part of the content Turner Broadcasting System has announced it will begin to distribute its well-known brands including Adult Swim and CNN. Programming from Hasbro, the National Hockey League, Sports Illustrated and Sony Pictures Television.
Episodes of “Aqua Teen Hunger Force” and “Robot Chicken” will be available on the Joost platform this week.
