Ah, the good old British self-catering holiday. Dodgy plumbing, grimy kitchen utensils and a faint musty smell that permeates everything you unpack and never quite goes away again.

Not so with this site.

Each property listed here has been rigorously assessed for quality, style and, above all, family friendliness.

These are not your run-of-the-mill properties, so don't expect run-of-the-mill prices. But if you're looking for somewhere to spoil yourselves and the kids this summer, this is a great place to look.

There are UK properties and also some in France, Italy, Greece and Spain, with accommodation available for parties of two to more than 30.

It's about time somebody paid this overlooked corner of the holiday market proper attention, and it looks like babyfriendlyboltholes are the pioneers.
