After a mild and dry start to the winter season in Europe skiers are now breathing a sigh of relief as snow has started to fall across the Alps.

Major ski resorts including Alpe D’Huez and Val Thorens in France have reported over 20cm of fresh snow in the last 24 hours with Cervinia it Italy reporting over 35cm of new snow. Skiers and boarders who were fearing their ski holidays would be not be possible are now looking forward to a white Christmas.
