CES 2007: CES honours best electronics for 2007

The International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) has announced its Innovations 2007 Design and Engineering Awards honourees. CES takes place in January, and Pocket-lint will be on the show floor to bring you daily updates of the latest products launched in Las Vegas.

Because the show covers products from all of the world, not all of the honourees will be familiar to the European market. However, some of the categories are indeed consumer-based, so that the winner in the Computer Hardware category, the Dell XPS M2010, is recognisable.

The Kodak EasyShare V610 Dual Lens Digital Camera wins in the Digital Imaging category, while the PS3 sweeps the Electronic Gaming price. High Performance Audio goes to JBL for its Project Everest DD6000 Loudspeaker, while Telephones honours Philips for its DECT Cordless Phone/Answering Machine.

The winning entries from the 29 product categories will be on display at the Innovations Plus at the Sands Expo and Convention/The Venetian.

Pocket-lint will be at CES 2007 in Las Vegas in January covering all the news as it happens live from the show floor.
