The good people who make Medion notebook computers sat down to have a think about what would make a woman buy their PCs, and decided the best way to attract them would be with something sparkly.
Thus the company’s laptop designed especially for women is bedazzled with Swarovski crystals. The name is emblazoned on the front and decorated with a lovely sparkly flower in the corner. The casing itself is crafted out of pink chrome, while the trackpad is further tattooed with the flower motif. At 1.9kg, it’s supposed to be small enough to fit into a handbag, which may just be true as oversized carryalls are the trend this season.
With all this sparkly loveliness, it seems almost churlish to mention specs, but here they are. Medion has eschewed the Intel Core 2 Duo processors in favour of Core Duo at 1.73GHz, which works together with 1GB of RAM, and 100GB hard drive.
Other features include a 12.1-inch screen, dual-layer DVD writer, Wi-Fi capabilities, and three USB2.0 ports. It comes with Windows XP Home and is Vista Premium Ready.
Get out your credit cards, ladies, it costs £1000.
