Kaleidescape bring Home music server to the masses (well sort of)

A company keen to put the expense back into home entertainment has launched a new home entertainment server that is likely to stretch any hardened and avid home entertainment fan.

Kaleidescape has announced that its music and movie home server is now over 55% cheaper, however that still means you're going to have to find a whopping £6395.

Why so much? The system organises movie and music collections on a central server (up to 2.2 terrabytes) that can then be accessed by different family members and guests can in different rooms, similar to the considerably cheaper Sonos music system.

Serving up to 25 simultaneous play-back zones of movies or music in the home, the unit can store up to 335 DVDs or 3900 CDs.

Those without a mansion and bags of cash need not apply.
