MP3 Hit Recorder 2 software records audio from internet radio

X-OOM Software has launched MP3 Hit Recorder 2, which lets people legally download MP3 tracks by recording internet radio.

The software lets users create lists of artists and genres that they would like to record, so that the software can find them on internet radio and record the applicable tracks. These can be transferred to portable media devices or burned to a CD as they can be recorded as MP3, WMA, WAV or Ogg-Vorbis files.

A new “Pre-Save” recording option has been incorporated into this version. It lets users record the whole song, even if they started the recording in the middle of the track.

Additionally, the software has a podcast management function that helps users subscribe and keep up to date with their favourite podcasts, as well as copy them to their portable media player.

The software is available from a range of retails for around £15.
