Google has been busy the last few days. The company’s self-publishing platform, Blogger, has announced a new beta version that makes it easier to blog.
This news comes hot on the heels of the announcement of Microsoft’s Windows Live Writer, which is blogging software that lets users self-publish even if they have no knowledge of html.
Blogger now lets users tag their entries so that posts are more easily categorized.
Drag-and-drop functions have been added, to make the templates less HTML-based, and users can now choose to make blogs private or public.
Not all current Blogger members will be able to access the updated version; only certain users will be invited to try out the beta.
People who create a new account, however, will automatically be able to use the new version, so Google suggests that current blog-writers sign up for a new account to be merged later with their old ones.
