Pentax introduces the Optio W20 for underwater shooting
Pentax has released the latest in its waterproof camera range, the Optio W20, which adds a million pixels to the previous model, the W10.
The W20 sports 7.0 megapixels, plus a new Blur Reduction mode that automatically ramps up the ISO to as high as 1600 to freeze the action in dim lighting conditions.
Waterproof down to 1.5 meters, the W20 can be used for about half an hour continuously underwater.
It’s also ideal for macro photography, as it has a minimum focus distance of as little as 1 centimeter.
Other features include a Mermaid Movie mode for shooting video underwater, Face Recognitio AF and AE, auto-tracking AF, numerous photo filters, and Auto Pictures mode that determines the best mode automatically.
The W20 supports both SD memory cards and the SDHC memory cards that store 2GB of data or above.
Available from mid-September, the W20 will cost around £229.99
