Today’s website of the day is the official website for the latest TV series big screen remake.

In the 1980s, a TV phenomenon hit these shores and caused a generation of teenage boys to walk around with preposterously long hair, sleeves rolled up and casual loafers with no socks. I shudder to remember it. But, Miami Vice was a groundbreaking show that married gritty cop drama with glitzy Miami style and oh, how we all wanted to tear around in a white Ferrari Testarossa.

So it is with trepidation that some fans may be awaiting the Hollywood makeover. But, and it’s a big “but” – this big screen remake has been in the hands of Michael Mann, the original creator of the series and the Emmy and Bafta Award-winning writer and director of big screen hits such as Heat, Ali and Collateral.

Colin Farrell and Jamie Foxx take up the roles of Crockett and Tubbs and judging by the trailer on display here, the marriage of style and substance is still going strong. Didn’t get to see if they were wearing socks though… form
