BenQ announces availability for HDMI-equipped LCD monitor

BenQ has announced that its FP241W, the world's first LCD monitor with an HDMI interface and full 1080p HD support, will be available from September in the UK.

The monitor features BenQ's Advanced Motion Accelerator as well as a 1000:1 high contrast ratio.

The HDMI interface allows super fast 5Gbps data transfer, and eliminates the need for signal conversion.

The 24-inch widescreen design means that users can view two A4-sized windows at the same time; the display also swivels 45 degrees to the left and right.

Integrated USB ports facilitate good connectivity with various peripherals.

The price of all these high-tech features? About £682 including VAT.

The first of BenQ's professional R-series of LCD monitors will also be available in the UK from October for about £885 including VAT.

The FP91R features SRGB standard colour, colour stability, luminance compensation, six-colour adjustment, and a 19-inch display.
