Drool-inducing tellies offer deepest ever blacks

Pioneer have released details and images of their new line-up of new flat screen televisions that they claim will offer seeing and hearing like never before; with the deepest levels of black and high-grade audio.

According to the information available, the new screens incorporate technology that sets new standards in what you expect from flat-screen televisions. With significantly deeper black levels (80% deeper than before), which ultimately lead to richer colours and sharper details, Pioneer state that the new screens are unrivalled in video and audio performance.

The line-up will be available in 42, 50 and 60-inch screen sizes, in both XGA (available from June) and Full HD (available from September) versions. The 50 and 60 inch Full HD flat screens will offer a contrast ration of 20,000:1 and 1920 x 1080 resolution, while the 42 and 50-inch XGA flat screens will have a contract ration of 16,000:1, and, depending on the model, resolutions of 1365 x 768 and 1024 x 768.

Pricing to be confirmed.
