BenQ announces the Joybee 720 to challenge iPod Mini at CES

BenQ has announced a new 5Gb hard drive based MP3 player at CES in Las Vegas. The new model, called the Joybee 720 will become the flagship of the range and goes up against the iPod Mini, Rio Carbon and Creative Zen Micro.

The unit weights just over 100 (114g) and can hold music, photos and other files.

The digital music player boasts a 1.8in colour screen combined with a photo viewer, FM radio and SD memory slot to transfer files and up to 10 hours of battery life.

There is no word as yet to when the player will be coming to the UK.
