Apple MacBook gets heat resistant cover

If you've gone out and bought a new Apple MacBook laptop and have tried to use it on your lap, you'll soon notice that after only a few minutes everything starts to get incredibly warm.

After checking that Apple did remove the plastic film from the air vent at the back of the unit, you might want to check out wrappers.typepad.com/

The site, which normally sells iPod covers has created a heat resistant rubber sleeve for Apple's MacBook 13 inch.

The tailored cover works as a protective sleeve and when not being used to carry your MacBook, can be used as a mat for protecting your lap when using your computer on said lap.

Made from high quality, heat resistant rubber, the sleeve insulates against temperatures up to 250 degrees centigrade. Available now, priced £17.99

Of course if you aren't worried about the excessive heat, afterall Apple does say that you should "not leave your MacBook in contact with your lap or any surface of your body for extended periods" the site also offers personalised covers whereby you can add your own logo, up to 15 letters in any one of five different colours.
