HP has launched seven new business laptops at its Making Connections event in Shanghai today.The new flagship model for the business range is the HP Compaq 2710p Notebook PC a new thin tablet PC that boasts a lightweight design of 1.6kg (3.6 pounds) and a twist screen.
More important for business users, HP is promising and optional battery that will give up to a whopping 10 hours of battery life from a single charge.
The flagship model also offers an optional digital camera with the ability to scan in business cards by positioning the laptop screen in a specific position and placing the business card in question into a groove built into the side of the keyboard.
The 2710p also features a docking solution with an integrated DVD+/- RW drive.
The HP Compaq 2710p Notebook PC will start at $1699 in the US. No UK prices have been announced as yet.

The company has also announced six other models including the HP Compaq 2510p, the HP Compaq 6910p, the HP Compaq 6710, the HP Compaq 6510b, the HP Compaq 8710p and the HP Compaq 8510p.
The HP Compaq 2510p is HPs smallest and lightest business notebook starts at only 1.3kg (2.9 pounds) with an integrated optical drive. The machine also features something HP is calling an Illumi-Lite display that it says will improve battery by up to 90 minutes. Hardware, Laptops, HP, Intel, Tablet PCs
