HP announce 13 new laptops, HDX gaming laptop and MScape

Shanghai Making Connections event gets underway

HP has announced the launch of a host of new products at its Making Connections conference in Shanghai.

The company used the event to launch 13 new notebook models including the much rumours HDX gaming model.

HP has also announced the launch of a social networking GPS offering called mscape, that it says will provide consumers the tools to design, build and share interactive, location-based experiences called "Mediascapes" that run on the Windows Mobile Operating System.

Also included in the line-up is the HP Compaq 2710p notebook PC, yet another tablet PC with integrated camera, and seven new business focused laptops.
