Lexmark today introduced three new all-in-one (AIO) printers aimed at the home printing market with two new models that feature a new easy web printing application.
The new Lexmark X3480 and X2470 AIOs include the new Lexmark Web Toolbar, which promises to make it quick and easy to print pages, text and photos from the Web.
The new Lexmark X3480 AIO offers print speeds up to 17 ppm, as well as a 48-bit colour scanner and colour copier. PictBridge, card slots, and Lexmark's first scannable photo proof sheet mean that it should make photo printing a snap. It will cost £79.99 when it goes on sale in June.
The X2470 is also capable of printing speeds up to 17 ppm and copies and scans with the touch of a single button. It too supports PictBridge connectivity to allow users to connect a digital camera to the printer and is capable of producing borderless 4X6 photos. It will cost £59.99 when it goes on sale in June.
Included with the purchase of the Lexmark X3480 and X2470 is the new Lexmark Web Toolbar, which promises to make it easy to format and print pages, text and photos from the web. With just a few clicks, users can choose what they want to print from their favourite web sites. The software claims to be able to eliminate advertisements, and other unwanted elements.
Finally the company has announced the Lexmark X1270. Priced at less than £50, the new model delivers speeds up to 17/9 ppm for black/colour printing, as well as up to 4,800 dpi print quality, a 48-bit colour scanner and colour copier. It will cost £49.99 when it goes on sale in June.
In related news, Lexmark also announced the launch of the Lexmark Z645, a single-function printer. It has a print speed of up to 17/9 ppm for black/colour. It will cost £39.99 when it goes on sale in June.
