Philips has launched the 42PF9631D Plasma TV, what it is claiming is its most advanced plasma TV to date.
The £2,300 HD-Ready 42PF9631D is Philips’ first plasma TV to feature a 1,024 x 1,080 panel, ideal for displaying a HD content up to 1080i.
With a stack load of Philips' technologies the TV includes Pixel Plus 2 HD to drastically boosting sharpness and detail clarity, as well as, an MPEG artefact meter, which measures the quality of the incoming signal and varies the level of processing accordingly - and ensuring that SD feeds are not ‘over’ processed.
The TV also includes Philips' light technology, Ambilight 2, which features lights behind either side of the screen that replicate and match on-screen content to reduce the possible strain on your eyes from watching television.
Connectivity includes two HDMI and two RGB Scart sockets, component video input and USB functionality.
