Plextor is extending its personal storage range with its new portable hard disk drive, small enough to fit in your pocket.

Coming in a brushed aluminum case the PX-PH16U2 (160GB) is compatible for both the Mac and PC. It can deal with all types of media including video, music, photos and office files.

The compact size (only 17mm thick and 200g in weight) with a 2.5-inch width means you can easily slip it into your pocket, briefcase or handbag. Plus it comes with a carry case to protect the finish.

The portable hard drive disk is bus powered and USB2 with specs of Max 480Mbps, USB1.1 Max 12Mbps. For added security Windows users can set a password protection on the model.

It’s being sold to business users, but for anyone looking to save a little space the HDD maybe worth getting.

The device is available from this month, although affordable we haven’t been sent any prices.
