Electrolux BBQ brings new meaning to putting some shrimps on the barbie

With British Summer Time now in full effect and the darker nights of winter behind us there is only one thing for it. BBQ Time.

Electrolux's idea of BBQ time however might be slightly more than you or I would perhaps first think.

In steps the new Electrolux EGL4400X. Finished in robust "marine grade" stainless steel for maximum durability and rust resistance, this grill is packed with features which it says sets it apart from the rest - from its solid stainless steel cooking grids (superior to cast iron used in other grills) to its double layered cooker hood.

Multiple burners and in-built temperature gauge on the vast cooking area supposedly ensure perfect results whatever the food type, while a side burner - ideal for saucepans - means that you can cook your entire meal outside, and a warming surface and two warming drawers makes catering for many so much easier.

On the practical side, dual stainless steel drip trays ensure all food residue is easy to collect and remove and two storage drawers provide space for beverages and cooking tools.

Unique "Flavour Grids" cover the open flame of the gas burner and avoid flame flare-up's - so no more food "burnt on the outside and undercooked inside".

The price for having such a monstrous - W 1680 x D 610 x H 1280mm BBQ with a cooking surface of 1040 x 410mm? £2500.

The new BBQ will be available in May.
