Firefox Companion for eBay available for download

Firefox launches eBay add-on

3 May 2007 14:19 GMT / By Ryan Haynes

Firefox as added an eBay add-on to its browser for avid buyers and sellers called the Firefox Companion for eBay.

eBay bids are accessed through the website, but with the add-on you can quickly access your ebay bids and items for sale in a side bar. It's available now for download, currently as a pre-final edition.

The launch follows developer Mozilla's search for eBay customers earlier in the month to test a new plug-in.

All information in the panel is updated in real-time as well as receiving live updates and status alerts. The tool will browse eBay without having to open an additional window, plus the partnership has included extra security with Account Guard integration for eBay and Firefox anti-phishing protection.
