Canon launches mobile PIXMA iP90 printer

5 January 2005 12:37 GMT / By Stuart Miles

Canon has announced the launch of a new inkjet printer to the PIXMA range. The PIXMA iP90 is a mobile photo and document printer.

The printer is capable of printing a 4” x 6” borderless photo print in just 51 seconds and 16 ppm A4 mono printing.

The printer features Bluetooth and IrDA support for wireless printing from mobile phones and the optional battery pack shows that canon is planning for you to take this out and about.

At just 52mm thick, weighing only 1.8 kg and with a surface area less than the A4 sheets it can print, Canon believes the iP90 is considerably smaller than competing models.

The PIXMA iP90 which can achieve resolutions up to 4800 x 1200 dpi will be available from March 2005 for £199 inc VAT/ €287.32 inc VAT.
