Creative has upped the ante in the world of webcams by launching a new auto focusing model with a 2 megapixel sensor.

Called the Creative Live! Cam Optia AF is according to the company the world's first webcam to offer auto focus technology and a true 2.0 megapixel CMOS sensor.

If that wasn’t enough the Creative says the camera is capable of capturing still images up to 8.0 megapixel interpolated snaps.

Realising that people move around the camera promises to focus in on its subjects at all times and as well as coming with a built-in dual Adaptive Array microphone for improved sound.

Parents will also be pleased with the innovative parental control feature which allows a password to be set for the camera usage, preventing any unauthorised usage.

Working on both a Mac and PC the new webcam is currently only available in Singapore and costs S$169.00, no word as yet on a UK launch, but expect the camera to be available later in the year.
