Apple of opportunity for video producers

Modest Mouse team with Apple for everyday video producers

26 April 2007 17:13 GMT / By Ryan Haynes

The band Modest Mouse have posted 12 high-quality videos of them performing, shot from multiple angles in front of a green screen.

Apple conveniently has editing tools in the name of Final Cut Studio and software Logic.

The band and the PC manufacturer have set their sights on one of their fans downloading the material and producing a music video for their new track "Missed the Boat". Any avid video producer can get involved.

Entries can use as much or as little of the band's footage as desired, as well as their own material. The finished videos should be submitted to Apple for online judging.

The band gets a free video, and some fan may get a lucky break, Apple gets to be loved for speaking to the little people and everyone but the losers are happy. The deadline for submissions is May 22, 2007.
