iSymphony brings Bluetooth synch to stereo

If you’re seeking to synch a sound system with all your audio players then it looks like iSymphony has come up with the ultimate integrated stereo. The great thing about this model is its unashamed style.

The V1BLUEe claims be the first A2DP Bluetooth enabled home stereo. Either wall-mounted for the table top the system offers 45 watts output - 10 watts x 2 front facing speakers and 25 watt subwoofer built into the rear.

There’s a Bluetooth Wireless Universal Dock for iPod with PC connectivity, along with removable dock adapters for all docking iPods and the ability to charge and sync whilst docked.

The remote control for the stereo will also control your iPod. Not just for the current fashion for digital music, the system supports more historic forms of music playing – CD. The CD player is CD/CD-R/RW compatible with a 64 track program memory, plus it can play MP3 and Windows Media playback supporting ID3 title display.

It has a radio but unfortunately this is not digital, only supplying an AM/FM RDS stereo with digital tuner 40 station memory (FM 20, AM 20). Further features include a clock radio, USB connectivity, SD and MMC slots and graphic equaliser.

Now here’s the snazzy part, which makes me what to get my hands on one, the A2DP Bluetooth reception allows streaming from compatible devices and from the system to Bluetooth headphones. And it's a duplex Bluetooth speaker phone too - if your phone rings, the V1BLUEe will pause the music, play "your" ringtone through the system, display the incoming number and enable you to answer the call using the whole system as a handsfree speaker phone.

Available mid-June and priced around £250.
