Eton launches emergency radio with built-in mobile phone charger
Eton, the radio company, has added a phone charger option to its Emergency Hand-Crank radio. The new model, called the FR250 gives you unlimited power for AM/FM radio, 7 international Shortwave bands, built-in flashlight, and mobile phone battery life when you need it most as long as you've got enough juice to crank the handle.
The FR250 can be powered from four different sources: the built-in rechargeable Ni-MH battery that takes charge from the dynamo crank and from an AC adaptor, 3 AA batteries, or the AC adaptor alone and the dynamo crank alone, even with no battery pack installed.
There is also a built-in triple LED light so you can see what you are doing.
Costing £34.95, the radio comes with a a lead and a selection of adaptor plugs to fit nearly all popular modern phones.
