New Wrangler due in May

Jeep's old-faithful keeps on going

Three things in life are certain: death, taxes and the fact that Jeep will never stop making the Wrangler.

The "new" version of the classically homoerotic off-road legend hits the UK in May, and unsurprisingly looks a lot like the current one.

The range starts at £17,995 and customers are promised better road manners, reduced noise levels, a host of safety features and a new interior with space for five adults and their luggage. It will also be available as a diesel for the first time ever.

A direct descendent of the original 1941 Willys MB Jeep, the new Wrangler will be available with an auto box and a convertible hard roof – the laughably named Freedom Top – which the company claims makes the Wrangler Unlimited the only four-door convertible in the world.

Golly.
