Kodak has announced the Easyshare DX7590, a follow-on to the DX6490 released last year. The new model will offer 10x optical zoom like its predecessor however ups the ante in the megapixel count with five megapixels as well as a 310,000 pixel electronic viewfinder.
The camera will be available worldwide from the beginning of August for a suggested retails price of £379.00.
Kodak has also launched a 5 megapixel variant to its CX range of entry level digital cameras. The new model - the CX7525 - offers a 3x optical zoom, 6 scene modes and a 1.6 LCD display on the rear. Available around the same time as the DX7590 the camera will have a price tag of £250.
As well as the two new cameras, Kodak has also launched a new printer dock allowing you to print direct from the camera without the need of a PC. The new model, called the KODAK EASYSHARE Printer Dock Plus will be priced at £199.99 RRP and is available to buy now. The new model now allows you to print from camera phones offering you the option to print one, two, four or nine images on each 4x6-inch sheet.
In addition, it incorporates a built-in SD/MMC memory card slot; an optional external 8-in-1 memory card reader for using additional popular memory card formats; and a dedicated multi-function docking connector for KODAK EASYSHARE 600/6000 and 700/7000-series digital cameras.
