Evesham launches sub £500 laptop in UK

Happy with that Laptop you got on Christmas day? Evesham, never one to annoy may be annoying some people this Christmas with the announcement that it's internet division Lowest on Web is launching a sub £500 today.

The Quest Explorer is powered by a Mobile AMD Sempron 2600+ processor and comes with 256Mb DDR RAM, 40Gb hard drive, DVD/CD-RW drive, media card reader and 15in XGA TFT display. You will also get Windows XP home edition thrown in for the price as well.

Jag Mann, product manager for the Quest Explorer commented: “the Quest Explorer is aimed to appeal to those who expect the same levels of performance they get from a desktop without sacrificing power for portability”

The model can be customised, but prices start at £499.99
