Wireless is taking over and Lexmark has announced its new range of affordable wireless printers.The company is starting big with eight out of its new 12 inkjet printers for 2007 hosting wireless capabilities spanning three printer categories. Initially Lexmark is launching two on the market; the Lexmark X4550 Wireless All-in-One and the Lexmark Z1420 Wireless Colour Printer.
The wireless technology will act in the same way as a wireless internet connection and the printers will work with both PCs and Macs.
The X4550 has a printing speed of up to 26 pages per minute black and 18 ppm colour, plus photo functionality, copying and 48-bit flatbed colour scanning, priced at £99.99.
The Z1420 is simpler in function as a basic inkjet printer but with wireless with printing speeds of up to 24 ppm, priced at £59.99.
