Terratec launch compact 5-port mini-switch for LAN gamers

Cut out the chaos with TerraTec's Mystify Black Widow. TerraTec Electronic (www.terratec.co.uk), a leading European multimedia manufacturer, today announces the UK launch of its Mystify Black Widow. This 5-port mini switch is especially designed for gamers wanting to challenge their opponents across a local area network (LAN).

Its five 10/100 Mbps autodetection ports sense the slightest signs of life in the Ethernet and link the players' systems automatically, at the correct speed in either half or full-duplex mode. The uplink port can also be used as a fifth connection with a crossover cable.

The Mystify Black Widow enables gamers to compete across a small LAN, as well as a larger network. In addition, the Mystify Back Widow's store architecture filters and eliminates bad data packets for optimal peformance on all connections.

The Mystify Black Widow is powered either by an AC adapter or the included USB cable. Its rugged metal housing can be firmly attached to suitable surfaces with its magnetic feet.
