12 April 2007 11:11 GMT / By Ryan Haynes

It was widely announced at the end of last year it would be available at the end of spring and now the Samsung i600 is coming to the UK. Orange is yet to make any official announcement, however it has been found on their website.

We reported on the prospective launch in December and figure it will become available on the network by the end of the month. The Samsung i600 is a smartphone spotted at IFA last August.

The skinny device has BlackBerry-like features, with a 2.3-inch, 320 x 240 screen, fully QWERTY keyboard, and a 1.3MP camera. It hosts 3G connectivity, plus Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity are built-in, as is 64MB of RAM. It also includes video recording and a music player.

There are no exact prices or dates of availability, however it does appear like it will be offered by Orange on contract and Pay As You Go.
