Mobile networks are sprinting to get ahead in the mobile internet market and 3 has opened the doors with a £5 flat-rate unlimited package.

As an extension to its X-Series, following the launch with the Nokia N73, 3 is releasing the service on all recently launched handsets.

The unlimited package comes as an extra to any 3 monthly contract offering a range of mobile internet-based services from Skype to access to home TV via Slingbox, tailored to any phone chosen.

The service is available 24/7 for the single £5 monthly fee. You will also be able to stay in touch with people on the move with unlimited Windows Live Messenger.

John Penberthy-Smith, 3’s Marketing Director, commented, ”Building on the innovation and success of X-Series, our latest mobile internet package gives our customers freedom to use the internet on the move and to choose a handset which really works for them”.
