iriver announces iPod Mini challenger

17 December 2004 17:58 GMT / By Stuart Miles

iriver has revealed a portable music player to challenge the iPod mini, Rio Carbon and Creative Zen Micro.

Called the H10, the 5Gb player will feature a 1.5in colour display, photo viewer, a voice-recording facility and FM radio. It will come in four colours - red, blue, silver and grey.

Menus are accessed via a slider touchpad very similar to the Creative Zen Micro. iriver is also promising a 12 hour battery life.

iriver has a launch date in the UK, however we are unable to tell you because of legal restrictions, what we can say is that we will be posting a review of the unit in the new year as soon as the embargo lifts. So stay tuned.
