Sony PlayStation 3 sales freefall

Commentators suggest it's the high price

Sony might have had the most successful console launch in UK history, however it seems the honeymoon is over already.

Chart Track, the company that records sales of games and consoles, is reporting that the sales of PS3 hardware have dropped by 82% in their second week.

The same affect has happened for the games with Resistance: Fall of Man and racing game Motorstorm also dropping over 60 percent of their sales in week two.

"It seems that those who wanted one, bought one. Sony's trouble now will be to convince those unsure to pay the high price", an industry insider told us.
