Yahoo has announced that it is to offer unlimited email storage in it race to become the number one webmail service online.

The news, which is likely to spark a storage war between it and other free services, it the latest in a long running battle between the company and Google, who up until now have matched each other MB for MB.

The company says not all users will get limitless storage immediately, however hopes to roll out the storage quota - or lack of it over the next couple of months.
