Vita Audio has launched a new Stereo system which it says "Sets new benchmarks for style and sound quality".

Called the R2 (no, there isn't a D2), the unit offers a DAB/FM tuner, allied to a 20W amplifier, as well as a 3.5mm socket to connect your iPod.

Other features include a clock alarm with sleep and snooze functions and a remote for the lazy among us.

Suggested retail price: £219.99 (Rich walnut veneer); £249.99 (Ivory high-gloss lacquer).
