Microsoft have today announced that it is expanding its video and TV offering via its Xbox Live service with deals with Paramount Pictures, Warner Bros, A&E Network, ADV Films, National Geographic and TotalVid.com in the US.

The move will mean films such as “Braveheart”, “Team America: World Police”, “World Trade Center” and “South Park: Bigger, Longer & Uncut”, as well as “Sublime” and later “Babylon 5: The Lost Tales”. Will be available to download in HD.

Accordingly to Microsoft downloads on Xbox LIVE have grown in double-digits, month-over-month, with a 400% increase since the service began offering TV shows and movies late last year.

No word as yet on whether the UK will be getting the content when the service does eventually launch in the UK.
