Citroen launches special edition C2

French supermini gets a good old pimping

Citroën has made the C2 more attractive (not difficult) by taking its lively 125bhp C2 1.6i 16V VTS supermini and chucking in cow skin seats, sporty exterior styling touches and an exclusive paint job.

The C2 Code special edition – pretty good value at just £10,545 – gets a more athletic look, complete with a full-length roof stripe, chrome exhaust pipe, 16in alloys, and a choice of iron grey pearlescent or dynamic black paint.

Inside, the sports-style, bolstered seats and door panels are coated with a rich new leather trim, and front occupants benefit from arse-warming heated seats. Oh, and there’s the customary aluminum gear knob, too.

Performance stats remain reasonable, with a 0-62mph time of a little over eight seconds and a top speed of 126mph. You also get 41mpg.
