6 December 2004 7:09 GMT / By Stuart Miles

BT has launched its first digital radio, The BT Aviator 10M, as it tries to expand its net into the home entertainment arena even further.

The radio, which is entering an already crowded market hopes to stand out from the crowd with a key feature that allows users to record and playback the last 10 minutes of broadcast.

The DAB radio also offers a FM tuner and can play MP3 tracks via an SD/MMC slot, although there is no method of recording the radio onto the card directly.

Operated by either mains or battery, the BT Aviator 10M costs £129.99 and
will be available from early December.
