Rumours are gathering pace that Google will complete against Microsoft and Apple and launch a mobile phone in connection with Samsung.

Although rumours have been floating around the ether for sometime now, the latest break in the story is some of the possible specs of the new device.

According to MaDnEzZ, a forum user on Mobileburn.com he was asked to fill in a survey about the Google phone, which he says listed some of the technical specs such as 3G and Wi-Fi connectivity along with a 2 megapixel camera.

Although nothing concrete has been confirmed by Google, some commentators believe that the phone will be a platform to serve Google's current batch of applications such as its mapping software as well as offer web browsing and therefore the chance to serve adverts to customers on the move.

We will keep you posted.
