The Cricket World Cup starts today in Kingston, Jamaica, and with England's shambolic Ashes performance, redeemed only by a stellar reposte in the 1 day series down under, the nation's hopes will be feeling like quite a burden for Michael Vaughan and his team.On paper, Australia are favourites, but with odds of 7-1 for South Africa to lift the trophy, that might be where the Pocket-lint petty cash tin will be heading.
However, Ricky Ponting's side are still smarting from that bloody nose that our boys gave them, so it's going to be a thrilling tournament.
