USB stick lets you take your TV with you

Pinnacle has launched another TV tuner for your PC, this one a USB-style stick.

The PCTV DVB-T Flash Stick is an external USB2 device that combines a tuner with software that turns your computer into a personal video recorder and 1GB of memory.

Unlike other TV tuners, the new Stick has PVR software pre-installed so that you just have to plug it into any free USB 2.0 port and it's ready to use.

In addition to watching live TV, you can also TimeShift programmes and record shows on the fly or with a timer.

Thanks to the 1GB of on board memory, you can choose to record to the Stick in either MPEG2 or compressed DivX format.

Bundled with a mini remote control and mini antenna, it will be available from mid-March for £70.
