Apple updates QuickTime and iTunes in prep for Apple TV

Allows greater support for video along with some bug fixes

Apple has update iTunes and Quicktime today in preperation for its new TV product Apple TV.

The update adds support for the company's new Apple TV device which it claims is the "iPod for the living room".

iTunes 7.1 also supports a new full screen Cover Flow and improved sorting options to let you decide how iTunes should sort your favourite artists, albums, and songs.
The company has also updated it Quicktime player to version 7.1.5.

According to Apple QuickTime 7.1.5 delivers numerous bug fixes and addresses critical security issues. This update is recommended for all QuickTime 7 users Mac and windows alike.
