WEBSITE OF THE DAY - nationalarchives.gov.uk

The source of the juiciest gossip. From 30 years ago anyway

2 March 2007 0:00 GMT / By Ian Hughes

Every so often the newspapers come alive with stories of derring-do, dirty tricks and dastardly duggery of the skull variety. That's because every so often the National Archives releases another load of documents telling us, finally, about all those amazing secrets that have been kept locked up for the last few decades.

Wartime heroism and treachery; Cold War tales of superspys and spectacular defections; political bombshells that at the time would have brought the country to its knees.

Today sees the latest release from the Security Service, aka MI5, and is sure to contain some really juicy stuff.

All truly fascinating and well worth bookmarking.
