Sky unveils Remote Record function for Sky HD and Sky+

Set your recordings when you're away from home

Sky has launched an online Remote Record service for those who subscribe to Sky+ or Sky HD.

This means that you can now set recorders for your at-home set-top box online wherever you are.

From Sky's website (see the link below), you can login and view Sky's seven-day TV guide in order to set your box to record.

No more missing your favourite new show just because you can't get home to set the VCR.

The new online service goes hand in hand with the mobile Remote Record service hat Sky launched last year.

"Remote Record is perfect for those situations when you hear about a TV show and want to record it there and then, if you're stuck late at work or if you've simply forgotten to record that programme you want to watch", said Stephen Van Rooyen, Sky's Director of Product Management.

"It's about making TV fit around people's increasingly busy lives."
